2º- Lesson 12: Easter (English)

Hi! Today we start EASTER (Pascua). Nowadays Easter is a Christian festivity. Most of people in Britain (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Irelando and the small islands) celebrate Easter, even if they are not catholic (children have two weeks off school). This happens also in the USA. In its origin, the start of SPRING was celebrated.

En la actualidad, en muchos de los países donde se habla inglés, la noche de Pascua, la conejita de Pascua deja cestas con huevos decorados y huevos de chocolate a los niños y niñas. Aunque ahora es una fiesta religiosa, en origen, se celebraba el comienzo de la PRIMAVERA.
